It’s Monday. Yesterday I helped my mom remove all the Christmas decorations and we took down the tree. I think my heart dropped a little more with each ornament as I began to realize the holiday season has truly come to an end. It’s a bit crazy to think the next holiday we will celebrate is Valentine’s Day. You notice how quickly time moves the older you get, don’t you? I feel like it was August last week – except the weather has helped me come back to the fact that it’s definitely January now.
I have begun to truly dress for the brisk weather lately, and that includes lots of winter accessories. I lived in beanies in high school when I had really long hair, but ever since I cut it short, I haven’t touched hats. Recently I discovered that I love wide-brimmed fedoras, and now I have found that my beanies can work again as well! I think it’s a sign that I need to continue growing my hair out. Along with hats, my closet has been overrun with blanket scarves, and this particular cozy plaid has become a favorite. My feet are absolutely always freezing, since my circulation is poor, so chunky socks have been a staple as well. You all know I love my Tabbisocks – my drawers are now overflowing with their foot and legwear and I can’t get enough. I’ve developed a socks and tights addiction!
While the holidays may be over, winter is really just getting started. It’s been fun to pile on the layers for a day downtown. Now I’m looking to you, my darling reader. What would you like to see on the blog in the next few weeks and months? Let me know in the comments, or shoot me an email, because I’d love to hear from you! Make this an awesome week, everyone.
