I’m just over here sipping my coffee and feeling thankful that we’re moving into the month of FALL! Buh-bye, August.
It was a month, ya’ll! I mentioned earlier on in August how busy the month would be, but I didn’t even have a clue how nutty it would get! I felt like a chicken running around with no head almost every week in August, so even though it was a lot of fun, I won’t be sad to see it go. I’m also beyond thrilled that the first day of fall is just a few weeks away! Sure, it’s still in the 90’s outside, but I’m shopping for all the plaid, sweaters, and pumpkin-scented things! 😂
Let’s chat about everything I loved in the last month. There were so many good ones!

Blue is one of my go-to colors to wear all year long, but moving out of summer and into fall has made me want to wear it even more! This dress is less than $13, and I’ve worn it a crazy amount recently. So comfy and flattering!
These pants were my BFF all last year, and I’ve been reaching for them over and over again lately. They’re incredibly flattering, don’t stretch, and they’re worth every penny.
If you’re interested in wearing pants that feel like pajamas, you’ll want to check out this pair that I’ve basically been living in. I can’t get enough!
You’d never know it was faux. This Gucci belt dupe is so cute and looks so real – oh, and it’s only $14. I’ve been wearing it nonstop.
I basically turned these shoes brown from stepping in a muddy puddle, but that hasn’t stopped me from wearing them all the time. They’re super comfy and casual!
You know a bag is good when you almost cry because they brought it back in stock nearly 2 years later and in more colors (I just purchased it in black).
Favorite Skincare & Makeup Items
I’ve had the immense pleasure of partnering with Neutrogena yet again – this time to debut the these palettes – which I genuinely love and utilize almost daily!
This lipgloss is bringing shine that I never knew I needed. It’s not sticky and it’s long-lasting!
Mascara was never something I’ve been picky about, but lately I can’t stop reaching for this one. It really lengthens my lashes!
I had been not-so-patiently waiting for the final installation of the “Red Queen” series, and was not disappointed in the slightest by War Storm.
Mulan has always been my favorite Disney animated film, so when I discovered this book, which takes her story to a much darker place (namely, the underworld), I was intrigued. I’m not finished with it yet, but I’m already entranced!
Favorite TV Shows & Movies
Alright, alright, so maybe I jumped on the Peter Kavinsky bandwagon, but To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before was just too dang cute for words. It reminded me of the rom coms I grew up with. Innocent, fun, and feel-good.
I introduced my mom to Mamma Mia earlier on in the month, so it was great fun to see Mammia Mia: Here We Go Again in theaters with her. We laughed, we cried (a lot), and we’ve been binging the soundtrack ever since.
Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee has been a show my fiancé and I really enjoy watching together. He’s always loved comedy, but it’s something I’ve only recently gotten into. It’s fun to learn a little more about the person behind the jokes with this show.
I finally got a chance to see Oceans 8 and it did not disappoint! The Oceans franchise has been a favorite of mine since I was a little girl. They were always the “action” movies my dad and I would watch together. Combine that classic Oceans plot-line with a whole heap of fashion, and throw in my two favorite actresses, and you’ve got quite a banger, if you ask me!
Favorite Food & Drinks
The last couple of weeks have been kind of tricky. If you follow my Instagram stories, you’ll know that I recently began my Invisalign journey – and it’s pretty painful. Think of it as eating with an entire mouthful of loose teeth (ouch). So soups and pastas have been my best friend. Anything soft.
As far as drinks go, I’ve been gulping down mug after mug of Bright Spot Coffee. They were kind enough to send over a whole bag of their “Her House Blend” and I’m in love. There are notes of almond and chocolate – so in essence, sign me up!
I mentioned above that I’ve been listening to Mamma Mia on repeat!
More often than not, I listen to jazz. The “Coffee Table Jazz” playlist on Spotify is my go-to, especially when I’m working. It’s soothing and sweet and I love it to death.
Jason Mraz finally released his new album, Know. and I’m totally into the upbeat vibes he always brings to the table. My dad asked me to describe what genre he would fall into, and I replied, “Dad, Jason Mraz is his own genre.”

I think you all appreciated my dose of reality in this post, and I’m really happy about that!
Guess you loved those pajama-esque pants as much as I did because this post did phenomenally.
My first post of the month was also a winner, which is always a great feeling. Way to kick off the new month!
It’s no secret that Ironclad Coffee Roasters has become like my second home. I think there’s been a couple weeks this month that I’ve been there at least 3-4 times in a row. The atmosphere is fantastic, they play the best music, and the drinks (and treats) are divine! Richmonders, don’t sleep on this spot!
I’ve been spending more time than usual at Short Pump Town Center, but outdoor malls can just be so nice to walk around at, even if you don’t plan to shop! I love that there’s a spot to just sit and enjoy coffee. And Brandon and I are kind of hooked on playing Pokémon Go again, so it’s nice to have a dozen Pokéstops in one spot! 😂
