It’s Friday Five, Volume Five, and I’m even chatting about the Fab Five. So I feel like five is a lucky number today.
We got through winter, ya’ll! I’m still convinced RVA is going to experience a cold snap and have another round of snow at some random point, but right now I’m enjoying the sunshine and slightly warmer temperatures. I’ve been spending more time outside, especially in the evenings, with a drink in hand. I relish the sunshine, but I’m definitely not looking forward to the heat, bugs, and allergies! 😂 Are you a fan of spring?

Friday Five Vol. 5
New In My Life //
I got a second job! I’m officially a social media manager for a local company that I’m incredibly passionate about. It’s exciting to be running their Instagram page and finding new clients for them. I may or may not share who it is further down the line. Right now I’m just trying to get settled into this addition in my life.
After my home button started to malfunction, I finally upgraded my iPhone to a XS Max – and I love it. It was an adjustment to no longer have a home button to worry about, and the swiping still feels slightly foreign, but dang that camera is amazing.
My gastroparesis flare-ups have been particularly gnarly lately – but I found a product that’s helped 10x more than anything I’ve tried in the past. I was originally gifted a week’s dose of Flow Formula by Maxine Morgan, but after just 7 days of use, I plan to re-purchase regularly. It’s a combination of CBD, turmeric, and ginger – and it literally “cured” me of all symptoms during “that time of the month.” If you have any sort of tummy issues, I would check this out right away!

Obviously the latest season of Queer Eye. I mean, I’ll just never be able to get enough of Jonathan Van Ness … and the others. 😉 Just kidding – I truly love them all. That show has me in tears almost every single episode.
My husband grew up watching Avatar: The Last Airbender (no, not the blue people movie, the Nickelodeon animated show from the early 00’s), and he’s recently gotten me into it. We watch a couple episodes before bed each night. It’s just so wholesome and fun. Definitely not your typical “kids cartoon.”
We’re finally watching Parks & Recreation all the way through. After finishing The Office, and catching up with Brooklyn Nine-Nine, we knew we needed to get some Leslie Knope in our lives – and we’ve loved every second of it. It’s cringy in the best way, and has us laughing really hard.
Spring Cleaning //
Well, the first day of Spring was officially on Wednesday, but I got a head start on my spring cleaning last week. I began listing a ton of my clothing on Poshmark, and I’m not even close to finished. If you’re looking to find some seriously discounted items in time for the new season, you’ll want to give me a follow.
Now that I’m preparing for showing a little more leg, I’m grateful that Joy sent over a box of their shaving goodies. I usually loathe shaving, but I was thrilled to find that their products make the event a whole lot better. Not only is their packaging adorable, but I found that it was the easiest, smoothest, pain-free shave I’ve had in years. I was originally paid to promote their products on my Insta Stories, but I’ll definitely be re-purchasing. Their shaving mousse is to die for.
Accessories I’m Into //
It seems like barrettes are back. Man, I may be a 90’s baby, but I was not at all prepared for the resurfacing of this trend I rocked as a kid. Although, the new pieces I’ve seen are a whole lot more chic than the rainbow clips I donned as an 8-year-old. Check out these gorgeous pearl beauties.
Along with barrettes are the silk scarves that made their way back into spring and summer fashion last year. I especially love the hair ties with the scarves built-in. Like these ones.
Straw bags are back, and I’m not even close to surprised. There’s something so classy and feminine about these whimsical purses. I already have two, but I’m considering adding this one to my collection.

Okay, I’m always down to try a new foundation. I certainly don’t love my skin when it’s makeup-free. I have a lot of hyperpigmentation, acne, acne-scarring, and redness. That’s why I was thrilled to find this drugstore foundation that completely concealed, lasted all day, didn’t break down, and matched my skintone. Yeah, you’ll want to grab some right away.
I picked up this moisturizer in my birthday gift from Sephora, and instantly fell in love with it. It mattifies my skin (so it’s great to apply prior to makeup) and has an almost cooling effect I wasn’t expecting but really enjoyed. I think it’ll be great to keep my makeup from sliding off my face during the summer.
This makeup brush is a life-saver. I got it with the foundation I mentioned above, and now I never want to use another brush. Yep, it’s super affordable, and you can find it at Target. I mean, win-win.
