A Feminine and Affordable Cloffice (Closet + Office Space)

This post has been one of my most anticipated since summer of 2017!  Last year, I began a full renovation – transforming my childhood bedroom into the cloffice of my dreams.  Now would probably be a good time to explain what a cloffice is.  Imagine combining a massive walk-in closet with your office space, and a cloffice is what you get!  As a fashion blogger, not only do I need space for all my clothing, accessories, shoes, handbags, and more – but I needed somewhere that I could comfortably work on all my projects.  Whether that’s taking photos, planning content, writing posts, or whatever else goes into this incredible website that has become my career!

Below you can find some before and after photos of my space, and of course I’m sharing all the fun details in the room.  It’s absolutely incredible to look back at these photos and see the transformation from a purple-walled teenager’s bedroom into a feminine and affordable cloffice fit for a blogging queen.  I’ve linked almost all of the items I purchased for you to shop as you please.  Keep in mind that my mirror was purchased at Homegoods (which doesn’t have an online store – yet) and was spray-painted gold along with my desk chair.

A Feminine and Affordable Cloffice (Closet + Office Space)

When I was brainstorming ideas for this dreamy room, I knew I wanted something feminine and fun – but still playful.  I needed a bright space so I could take quality photos (though my umbrella light certainly helps as well), and I also needed the brightness because I thrive in light and truly dislike dark places.  Instead of painting a particular color on the walls, I chose white to make the room feel bigger, and added color in the form of my pink curtains and the clothing and accessories I wanted to display.  White, pink, and rose gold were the primary colors, with smaller black additions.  Nearly everything I purchased to furnish the room came from IKEA; my decor was from Target and Amazon, and Homegoods was where I found my mirror and a couple of the smaller decor pieces.

In all, I probably spent no more than $600 on this space.  I already had the closet rack (which is a fabulous $13), the rug (only $25), and the desk chair ($20).  I gave myself plenty of time to complete this project – which is why it took me so long to post.  I literally just painted my mirror and chair two weeks ago, and hung my photos just a week or two before that.  When it comes to renovating a space – I say, “save your money and make your dream come true.”  If you rush to complete it all at once, you’ll make rash decisions, unnecessary purchases, and it wouldn’t surprise me if you wanted to change the whole thing just a few months later.

I hope my fun and functional cloffice inspires you! Let me know where you like to shop for your home in the comments below.

I got super lucky with this space! I’m not sure what I’ll do once I move into my new home with my fiancé. I guess I’ll have to find a fun way to transform a tiny apartment and share that 🙂

I’m such an organizational freak so everything has to be in its place. I nearly shared how the insides of my drawers look because they’re all organized as well haha but I didn’t want people thinking I was too overboard 😂

Storage started becoming such an issue when I became a blogger. I went from barely filling my tiny closet, to having baskets overflowing with shoes and accessories haha. I needed somewhere to put it all – and for me, seeing everything is so necessary. It helps me keep track of all my things!
