Well goodness, we sure had the most stunning bridal party ever. Or am I just biased? Either way, these charcoal and dusty rose details gave us some serious heart eyes!
Truly, I know I am biased. I think our friends are just the most good-looking group there is. And of course, they are the best people we could have possibly asked to join us on our wedding day. Brandon and I are both so grateful for our loved ones and how they supported us and made our dream wedding a reality.
When I first mentioned that I wanted blush and gray to be our wedding colors, I got a bit of push back – only because those are more commonly connected to springtime. Seeing as how our wedding was in November, I think there was an assumption that we would utilize burgundy, brown, or deep greens and blues. However, I knew what I wanted – and my groom agreed – so we decided to just choose darker versions of those colors and consider it a win.

Choosing the bridesmaid dress and groomsmen suit brands was a breeze.
A couple years back, I partnered with Azazie and received a custom-fit bridesmaid dress for my friend’s wedding. I absolutely loved every step of the process, and knew without a shadow of a doubt that my girls would rock their gowns. I gave them the color of “dusty rose” and told them to pick whichever dress suited their style. Some of them chose to purchase a customized gown, and others were confident that the listed sizes would fit. Needless to say – they all looked spectacular. As a “bridesmaid proposal,” I gave them each a pair of druzy earrings from The Shinn Life (read more on that here). The earrings perfectly matched the dusty rose dresses!
I had heard rave reviews on The Black Tux, so Brandon and I decided to test their “at-home try-on” option. Brandon loved how easy it was and how comfortable the suit felt. We knew it was a great option for his groomsmen, since they all lived in different states. We sent them the style, and the suit rental was done in a snap. Brandon was even able to easily return his tux while on our honeymoon. Since Azazie offers ties, we gave each of the groomsmen a tie that perfectly matched the “dusty rose” color of the bridesmaid dresses. It all tied together beautifully.
Despite the initial reaction over these so-called “springtime colors” being worn for an autumn wedding, we found that they were absolutely perfect for us. I actually think they looked extra stunning against the fall foliage in our photos!
